I wish I could have been there to try to save you from your shit. I wish you could have been here to try to save me from mine. Neither one of us got anywhere in time to do something worthy. We wore the wrong shoes. Wound the wrong wristwatches. Caught trains going in opposite directions. Lost tickets. Took wrong roads. Less travelled. Bifurcated. Jam-packed.
So we went out and cut ourselves with sharp blades, in the meantime. And the most we have to show for it all is three decades-plus under our belts. Three decades and a line of ordinary sins decaying our insides as we wait for the inevitable. Laugh lines, only the channels were cut by something other than chuckles and giggles. The opposite.
But there is wine.
And there may still be some time. Not to make anything right. Not to make amends. Just to connect.
And there may still be some time to forgive ourselves. Because no one else will. Still time. Not much, but we’ll take whatever there is.
If you have lived long enough, and you have understood, then you know.
There isn’t anything
that is unforgivable.

Can’t think of anything smart to say so I’ll just say nothing smart. :) But here.

    True that.

I always appreciate how effectively you cut to the chase. Like I said before, no platitudes. Mmm Mmm good.

This is eerie. It also reminds me of “Dear God” by XTC

Dr., you’re a doctor. You should always have something smart to say.

Sly, I love the platypus. Isn’t that what you said? What?

    Insomniac, I am one too.

J, you know how much i love that tune.

    Kip, thanks for reading.

Tisha, “penetrating Lx” sounds a bit painful. Last time someone wrote about me in an interview, I ended up in a mental hospital as a case study, wearing a kilt and a halter top. Don’t ax me to elaborate. The End.

    “penetrating” as in profound LOL

hahaha “don’t ax me to elaborate”! well then we’re going to be in the mental hospital together :)))
