paranoid JapanDroid

6 Jul

he swung a scythe the size of a temple column at the waist-length grass and said god grew tired of us sonny boy then told me to add to the newspaper stacks inside the outhouse.
on the wooden commode next to the hole there was a stunted pile of torn out bible pages to be used when needed.
horse flies came rushing up from the hole when i opened the door and i heard him laugh a peasant laugh from the middle of the field.
what do you do when the hole is full i asked him.
move the entire thing to somewhere else.
at night we pissed in a bedpan.
and swatted mosquitoes.
he snored.
i held a pillow bent around my ears.
god grew tired of us sonny boy.
maybe things are better in japan who knows.
in august he went to the thermal baths and covered himself with therapeutic mud.
he wrote letters.
he wrote my name like this: Alecxandru

Very, very nice, Alex. The outhouse depiction reminds me of a very evocative scene in the Robert Duvall film “The Great Northfield Minnesota Raid.” Well-done.
